It is an excellent program, but Adobe seems to have designed this release with the developers in mind, more so than the end users. And more importantly, the people who have been using Photoshop for years are typically the ones who want that type of interface. They simply run Photoshop and donât even bother with Lightroom, so they wonât appreciate the changes Adobe is making with this major upgrade. We donât want to get into a discussion on GUI and interface design, but it seems to be designed by a committee â instead of the usual âone man, one voteâ working approach. I find it sad that, after so many years, Adobe Creative Cloud does not have a unified approach to software delivery. OK, I am not a Mac user, and I am not sure how Adobeâs decision makers think that the shift to Mac OS as the main platform justifies such unplanned design decisions. But even if Mac hardware suppliers start to incorporate direct X, so that we can get even better hardware acceleration, I just donât believe that engineers create such convoluted apps, with sloppy defaults for the end users.
